India and UK have had a long history. The two nations share a rich cultural heritage and mutual respect for each other. At present, Indian diaspora in UK is one of the largest ethnic minority groups out there. This indicates towards intricate intermingling of cultures and mutual dependence on each other for economical growth. ‘Make in India’ project, which targets at efficiently tapping the Indian potential by inviting foreign investors to invest and manufacture in India, thereby providing relaxed trade laws and trained personnel and also absorbing the plethora of Indian skills. In addition to this, initiatives such as ‘Work in India’, ‘Teach in India’ and ‘Study in India’ are running parallel to further exhilarate India’s harmonious relations with other nations. The palpable instincts to support each other’s economic, cultural and developmental caskets were indeed visible in recent times. To quote Hon’ble PM Mr. Modi during his recent visit to UK, “This is a huge moment for our two great nations. So we must seize our opportunities, remove the obstacles to cooperation, instill full confidence in our relations and remain sensitive to each other’s interests. In doing so, we will transform our strategic partnership, and we will make this relationship count as one of the leading global partnerships.”
The aim of the delegation is to promote the Govt. of India’s mission “Make in India”. We sense that there is an opportunity for our legal systems to collaborate in learning and improving public perceptions on promoting trade & investment, leadership and expediting case flow and building a relationship through partnering exchange missions.
