Citizens residing in areas of Delhi-NCR now can cherish pollution free Diwali as SC today confirmed that there will be no sale of fire crackers in Delhi-NCR area till November.1.  A bench headed by Justice A.K. Sikri said that the order of September 12 which permitted sale of fire crackers will implemented only from November 1, 2017. The bench is of opinion to test the effect of ban on air quality after Diwali noting that each year festivals leave the air in Delhi thick with smoke. This decision of the court came in the case of Arjun Gopal and Ors. v. Union of India and ors. The decision of the court is a welcome decision in various perspectives. From the past few years we are witnessed a thick layer of Pollution in our environment which not only forces citizens of state to live in a disease full environment but also lead to several incidents. There is no other view that busting of fire crackers during festival of light left the environment in situation which take days to come in its earlier situation. Due to the incidents related to fire crackers the toll of death is also rising with every passed year. Indeed, the decision of the court is an appraising decision in all these perspective but we have to came with a solution which create a balance between the pollution free environment and the unemployment which will occur due to decision of the court.
