Proposed Legislation Will Be No Justification Not To Carry Out Judgment: SC

Hon’ble Supreme Court vide order dated January 29, 2018 held that any proposed legislation will be no justification not to carry out the judgment of this court. The bench of Justice A.K. Goel and Justice U.U. Lalit said that if any legislation is brought on the subject, the same can be applied, subject to its validity, as and when such legislature is made. State of Karnataka through this present petition prayed before the Supreme Court for extension of time for implementation of the judgment passed by the Hon’ble  Court in B.K. Pavitra & Ors. v. UOI & Ors (2017) 4 SCC 620.
