Supreme Court all set to go paperless
The Supreme Court is all ready to go paperless. The implementation of this ambitious project will be done gradually overtime. At first the judges will be able to access the fresh matters on the interactive display device listed in the first five courts.
Login ID’s have been provided to all the High Courts to upload digitalise records in the manner prescribed. Large number of case files have been uploaded by the different High Courts in the country after the launch of integrated case management information system (ICMIS).
“The Supreme Court has made all the preparations to make the court paperless. As the concept of paperless court involves various technical and functional issues, it is proposed to implement the project gradually, as it would be a new method of working for the advocates and judges,” the apex court registry said in a press release.
Further, to help the people inquiring about the implementation of ICMIS two help desks have been setup at both the reception counters of the court premises.
